Accommodation and Pricing

All St Vincent’s Care Services independent living units are managed under a Licence To Occupy structure. This means when you take up residence with us, you pay an ingoing contribution, which equates to the purchase cost of the unit and gives you a right to licence. This right to licence gives you a right to reside only, and means you are entitled to occupy the unit for up to 50 years (subject to earlier termination). In general, the ingoing contribution is lower than comparable units or apartments outside of a retirement village complex.

In addition to your ingoing contribution for the physical unit, you pay daily fees to cover services within the independent living community – encompassing a general services charge and a maintenance reserve contribution.  These fees are similar to a body corporate fee structure when purchasing property in a unit building or managed site.

The general services charge helps to pay for day-to-day garden and site maintenance works, on-site recreation services, building insurance, rates and water charges, staff, and administration services. The maintenance reserve contribution goes into a long-term fund to help maintain the standard of the village. A capital replacement fund is also used to replace the village’s capital items.

Community Living is in-home support to help you maintain your lifestyle and stay in your home for longer.

Services

Staying in the comfort and security of your own home and your local community for as long as possible is an option many cherish. Our community living services, which are available throughout Sydney, help make this a reality.

We are here to make life easier for you and your family. We can lend a hand with day-to-day chores, help you manage your medication, or simply share a cup of tea and an enjoyable chat — whatever you need. Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll work with you to develop a customised program. Our most commonly requested services include personal care, nursing care, domestic assistance, home maintenance, transport, social support, exercise and rehabilitation, and respite care.

With us, you have choice. The choice to live in your own home longer. The choice to age with dignity. The choice to continue to live a full and happy life — the way you want. Nothing is too much trouble. We take the time to get to know you and tailor support to meet your unique needs.

If there’s a hobby or activity you’re passionate about, we can help keep that passion alive. If you just need help keeping the house and garden in order, we can do that too. The choice is yours. As your needs or interests change, we’ll work with you to adjust your support.

Your support

When you book a service, we deliver. In addition to our standard operating hours (7am to 5pm), we are contactable 24-hours-a-day for urgent requests via our client telephone support service. Your program of support is managed by a dedicated Community Living Co-ordinator — someone you can depend on and who understands your needs and interests. They ensure all services are delivered to the highest standard by a professional, friendly team. All our staff have extensive training, and live our values of compassion, justice, integrity and excellence every day.

St Vincent's Network

Should the time come when you need additional care, we’re perfectly positioned to assist with a complete range of care options to suit your needs.
Our aged care communities offer exceptional care and support 24-hours-a-day, complemented with lifestyle amenities and activities. We can also connect you with leading specialists and healthcare practitioners at St Vincent’s Health Australia’s well-respected public and private hospitals, including St Vincent's Hospital at Darlinghurst and St Joseph's Hospital at Auburn.

Pricing

It’s hard to say how much your personalised support will cost, as everyone’s needs and interests are different — and you may or may not be eligible for government subsidies. How much the government may ask you to contribute depends on your circumstances and is determined by income and health assessments.

Our services are also available on a fee-for-service basis. Download our current pricing schedules below.
