St Vincent's Care Services media release
St Vincent’s Care Services is pleased to announce the transition of St Joan of Arc Villa in the inner west Sydney suburb of Haberfield, to St Vincent’s Care Services.
From today, the aged care facility will be known as St Vincent’s Care Services Haberfield, following the transition from the Trustees of Catholic Aged Care Sydney.
The facility has been operated by the Catholic Parish of Haberfield since its establishment in 1990, and Michael Moore, Spokesperson for the Trustees Catholic Aged Care Sydney, said the transition has secured a strong future for the facility in its vital mission of caring for seniors in the inner west region of Sydney.
“Through the fruits of prayers and the hard work of past and present Haberfield Parish Priests and Parishioners, St Joan of Arc Villa has over many years built a reputation for quality, for both the physical and pastoral care of residents.
“This will now be built upon by St Vincent’s Care Services, which has an outstanding reputation for Catholic health services and the care of seniors dating back to 1857.” Mr Moore said.
St Vincent’s Care Services Chief Executive Officer, Lincoln Hopper, said St Vincent’s Care Services is committed to continuing the high quality care and support, and ensuring peace of mind for residents, their families, staff and volunteers.
“St Joan of Arc Villa has provided excellent, compassionate care for almost 30 years, and we are honoured to continue this legacy of care with the same compassionate Catholic mission and values.
“We are proud to be able to service the Haberfield community with absolute distinction, and are especially grateful to the Parish of Haberfield for their dedication in caring for the elderly.
“St Vincent’s Care Services has worked closely with the Trustees of Catholic Aged Care Sydney to ensure a smooth transition for all, and we thank them for their support during the transition period.
“The wellbeing of residents, families, staff and volunteers of St Vincent’s Care Services Haberfield is of the upmost priority, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the St Vincent’s Care Services family,” Mr Hopper said.
