Taking a stroll through Hawthorn
25 March 2019
Residents of St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn are loving their walking group through the beautiful tree lined streets of their neighbourhood. Four times a week, the group all gather downstairs at 10am, and walk around the block, often through the Jospehites' garden, which the residents all love. The smell of roses in the morning makes for a wonderful start to the day.
The group have made some friends along the way with their fellow neighbours, just last week they met a lady with a lovely small dog who now wants to come and visit the home every week!
They have even found a community garden which is full of vegetables and herbs.
On their way back into the building they always stop and say hello to Sally in the cafe, who they say makes the best coffee and cake!
