Knitting and nattering with a purpose at Maroochydore
01 March 2018
It takes a talented, kind, generous and dedicated person to continue to knit for others. That is exactly how staff describe the members of St Vincent's Care Services Maroochydore’s Knitting and Nattering group.
Each week, the ladies gather their wool and needles and meet up in the craft room to knit for local projects. Whether it is trauma teddies for the children's hospital, blankets for the homeless, or beanies to keep premature babies warm in the intensive care unit, the team is on a mission to help others.
The group is aptly named, always enjoying a cuppa, a chat and a little reminisce while they knit, but most importantly, they are always busily planning what their next project will be to help those in need.
