Many of our independent living residents also take advantage of our Community Living services. Our extended network of services and support
Our philosophy is to help you to stay within your home for as long as we can manage your health needs safely and to a high standard. However, should the time come when you need additional care, you will be given priority access to our residential living services (subject to availability and care requirements), many of which are co-located with our independent living communities.
You also have access to a comprehensive health network, which includes St Vincent’s Health Australia’s many well-respected public and private hospitals, as well as other highly regarded hospitals and medical services located in close proximity to our communities.
Applying for an apartment in our independent living communities is managed directly with St Vincent's Care Services through a Licence to Occupy agreement. This agreement means you pay an ingoing fee equating to the purchase cost of the unit and gives you a right to licence and reside in the apartment for up to 50 years.
You also pay a a small daily fee (similar to a body corporate fee) which covers garden and site maintenence, on-site recreation services, rates and water charges and administration costs.
